Play List, Youthography’s monthly offering features high rotation music we think are important indicators of contemporary youth culture. At the end of each month, look for our list of popular songs to give you a snapshot of this. This summer is not going away without a musical bang! From the MTV VMAs to a new Dears album, we’ve got your list covered for that last trip to the cottage. Hopefully our selections of songs will put a skip in your step as we head into the fall.

Chicago – Sufjan Stevens – The Avalanche – Sonic Unyon Records
There is a new breed of spirituality in pop rock that is unlike the spiritual rock and pop of yore – that is, it’s well-liked and accepted in most young social circles. It’s not just about religion, but defining your own spirituality.
